Coach Ken McLaughlin is in his 2nd season as the head coach of the Thunder Men’s Volleyball program.

Coach McLaughlin is also actively involved in the local and provincial volleyball scene operating his organization Pursuit Volley coaching programs along with the coordination of camps and clinics to grow the exposure of the game of volleyball since 2014. Coach McLaughlin has also spent time with the Team Alberta program as an Assistant Coach, coaching at a Western Canada Summer Games in 2015 (Gold Medalists) and most recently Canada Cup in Halifax in 2019 (Bronze Medalists). From 2011 to 2019, Coach McLaughlin was a staple at Jasper Volleyball Camp & Sylvan Volleyball Camp where he began his coaching journey, taking on various roles such as a Camp Coach and most recently Mentor Coach, helping the development of the next generation of coaches within our province. 

Coach McLaughlin prior to his time at CUE made his mark in Edmonton with the Northern Alberta Volleyball Club where club teams he led were able to capture three consecutive Volleyball Alberta Provincial Championships from 2017-2019 in their respective age groups.
