Thunder take down the Huskies 106-74

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) look to extend their winning streak and solidify their first place spot against the visiting Keyano Huskies in this weekends back-to-back home series. The Thunder took down the Huskies 106-74

The Thunder came out strong putting up 17 points in the opening 5 minutes of play and still made it back to their end for some solid defence. The first quarter finished with the Thunder up 31-10. The Huskies showed up in the second quarter, cutting their deficit early, but the Thunder answered back and went on a huge run picking up right where they left off in the first, ending the half with a score of 60-25. The Thunder kept the pressure on, played great defence and held the Huskies off till the buzzer, walking away with a W.

The Thunder and the Huskies will face off again tomorrow to complete their weekend series. The Big Kahuna Player of the Game for the visiting Huskies was #10 Dante Dinter and for the Thunder was #9 Ryan McLaren.
