Thunder take down visiting Ooks

EDMONTON AB – The Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) defeated the visiting NAIT Ooks in their first game in the home-at-home series 78-58.

The Thunder came out hot taking the first quarter 22-10, but the Ooks answered back in the second by cutting the lead to 37-31 and outscoring the Thunder 21-15 in the quarter. The Thunder came back with a powerful second half to the game and took a capsizing lead going with 5 minutes left in the game, and scoring over 20 points per quarter in the second half of the game.

The Big Kahuna Players of the Game for the Thunder was #9 Ryan McLaren who just took sole possession of the all-time points leader for Concordia and for the Ooks, #4 Ryan Delwo who contributed a team high 13 points. The two teams will face off again tomorrow to finish this weekends home-at-home series.
