Edmonton, AB – On Friday night, the Thunder hosted the Lakeland Rustlers for the first time this season. Offensively, #06 for the Rustlers Taiya Paylor had a game high of 14 points while on defense, #09 Shania Magnusson tallied 6 defensive rebounds to help defeat the Thunder 69-67.
It was a close contest throughout every quarter right up until the final buzzer when the Thunder applied some last minute pressure. The Thunder had strong performances offensively from #10 Shyanne Walton (17pts) and #11 Morgan Dool (17pts).
The Big Kahuna Players of the Game were #12 Allison Raitz for the Thunder and #06 Tayia Paylor for the Rustlers.
The two teams will face off again tomorrow night at 6:00PM in Lakeland.
