Thunder Hockey Announces Recruit Class for 2020/21

EDMONTON, AB - After a successful 2019-20 campaign the Thunder Men's Hockey Team finished the regular season in 6th place with 25 points overall and qualified for the ACAC playoffs for a 4th straight season. The Thunder saw five senior players move on and graduate from the program. Head coach Joey Bouchard and the Thunder Athletics to are pleased to announce the recruit class for the 2020-2021 season:

Tristan Gagnon

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Tristan Gagnon has committed to the program.
The 5'10 165 lbs. offensive forward from Sherbrooke, QC, played for the Edmundston Blizzard of the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MJAHL) this past season. The former captain led his team in scoring and recorded 74 pts in 52 games this season.  Tristan is enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program. 

Joel Patsey 

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Joel Patsey has committed to the program.
The 6'3 225 lbs. defensemen from Hazelton, BC, played for the Drumheller Dragons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) this past season. Patsey posted 17 pts in 54 AJHL games this season.  Joel is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program.

Rylan Nivon

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Rylan Nivon has made a commitment to the program for the 2020-21 hockey season.
The 5'10 165 lbs. offensive forward from Saskatoon, SK, played for the Battlefords North Stars of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) this past season. Nivon recorded 46 pts in 44 SJHL games this season.  Rylan is enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program. 

Owen Reith

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Owen Reith has made a commitment to the program for the 2020-21 hockey season.
The 6'1 190 lbs. character forward from Whistler, BC, played for the Canmore Eagles of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) this past season. Reith played in 164 AJHL games over the last three seasons, posting 27 goals and 53 assists for 80 points. Owen is enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program.

Hunter Leslie

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Hunter Leslie has made a commitment to the program for the 2020-21 hockey season.
The 5'11 181 lbs. gritty forward from Red Deer, AB, played for the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) this past season. Leslie played in 110 AJHL games over the last two seasons, posting 15 goals and 9 assists for 24 points. Hunter is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science program.

Colten Gerlib

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Colten Gerlib has made a commitment to the program for the 2020-21 hockey season.
The 6'2 185 lbs. two-way defenseman from Kamloops, BC, played for the Olds Grizzlys of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) this past season.  Gerlib played in the Western Hockey League for the Spokane Chiefs.  He also played in a combined 146 games in the AJHL, SJHL, and the BCHL.  Colten is enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program.

Darren Gisti

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Darren Gisti has made a commitment to the program for the 2020-21 hockey season.
The 6'0 180 lbs. offensive defensemen from Winnipeg, MB, played for the Virden Oil Capitals of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) this past season. Gisti recorded 36 pts in 54 MJHL games this season.  Darren is enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program.

Matthew Kasowski

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Matthew Kasowski has made a commitment to the program for the 2020-21 hockey season.
The 5'11 185 lbs. defensive defensemen from St. Albert, AB, played for the Waywayseecappo Wolverines of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) this past season. Kasowski recorded 21 pts in 47 MJHL games this season.  Matthew is enrolled in the Bachelor of Management program.

Aidan Morisson

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Aidan Morisson has made a commitment to the program for the 2020-21 hockey season.
The 5'10 181 lbs. offensive defensemen from Calgary, AB played for the 100 Mile House Wranglers of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) this past season. Morisson led his team in scoring as a defensemen accumulating 33 points in 42 games.  Aidan is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science program.

Vincent Tetreault

The Concordia Thunder men's hockey team is proud to announce that Vincent Tetreault has made a commitment to the program for the 2020-21 hockey season.
The 5'10 175 lbs. rugged defensemen from St Julie, QC, played for the Richelieu Grand Ducs of the Quebec Junior Hockey League (LHJMAA) this past season. Vincent is enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program. 

Thunder Athletics and the men's hockey program are excited to welcome these student athletes to campus this coming fall.
